Does as advertised, it's a stand for your horn. Works like most sax stands by providing a resting place for the Bell to hang off of and a lower support to distribute the weight of the instrument across the stand. You can remove and adjust the lower support to hold either an Alto or tenor Saxophone and is very easy to do so. The clarinet stand that is included fits on there with out any obtrusion to the main stand itself and is a nice addition to the product overall. I would recommend a stand that came with a locking mechanism around the Bell over this stand as they are better; at keeping the horn in place, for travel,for gigging, etc. With that being said I have yet to have an issue with either of my horns falling off or even sliding around on this stand. If you are looking for stands there are models within this price range that have and will do everything this stand can do and more. You won't regret buying this stand but I would recommend one with a locking bracket.
